Inklings: Candles in the Dark - Lament and Hope

7:00-8:30pm, November 21, 2021

The last 20 months have been fraught with distance, suffering, division, fear, and loss.

What are we to do with these realities? How do we bless those who have hurt us? How do we resolve the fracturing in our families, our friendships, or our own hearts?

Our Inklings evening will provide opportunity for lament and hope as we grieve and look to the cross. There will be soft music, space to simply be, and prayer stations to engage.

Bring: your honest self ready to wrestle with forgiveness and how to love your frenemies; your doubts and discouragement; empty hands in which we will put a stone for you to carry throughout the evening and then let go of as you are blessed and remember your baptism on your way out; blankets, pillows and pyjama'd children; the joy that Jesus desires to heal us and to use our suffering as a part of his redemption plan and to unify His Body, the Church.

Sunday, Nov 21 at 7:00 p.m.—entrance: 1st Ave doors; exit: High St doors.

We acknowledge that Jesus, the Lord of all, has called His Church to be a Church of all nations. With joy and in humility we gather on Treaty 4 Territory, the traditional lands of the Cree, Ojibwe, Saulteaux, Dakota, Lakota, Nakoda, and the homeland of the Métis Nation.
