Update and Invitations

Last night our vestry met (with the Bishop's blessing). It was a good time of prayer, discussion (primarily COVID-19 strategy related), and fellowship (Carla made delicious Guiness and whiskey chocolate cakes for St. Patrick's Day!).

Here are a few things for your awareness:
1. It has been decided to attempt a live stream service on Sunday March 22 at 10:30 a.m. on our St. Aidan YouTube channel. If the experiment works well, we hope to continue that way while gathering in person for worship is suspended.

2. Opportunities:

a. Praying for one another. In this time of social distancing, pray for one another. Here is our Parish Prayer Cycle (it is a bit outdated, so please add anyone you know of who isn't included).

b. Staying connected. We will be setting up a phone contact process by early next week to help everyone stay connected. If you are interested in calling a few households every week for the foreseeable future, please sign up using this form.

 c. Groceries and errands - need help or offering help. There are parishioners in our parish who are vulnerable to COVID-19 or need to self-isolate for other reasons and would benefit from others running errands for them. There are others who are not at risk in the same ways who are willing to run errands. If you are in either group, please complete this form so that we can start pairing needsHaving trouble with the form? Respond to this email.

3. Communication:
We will continue to send emails, post here and, as we learn what's needed, we will find other ways to stay connected.

We acknowledge that Jesus, the Lord of all, has called His Church to be a Church of all nations. With joy and in humility we gather on Treaty 4 Territory, the traditional lands of the Cree, Ojibwe, Saulteaux, Dakota, Lakota, Nakoda, and the homeland of the Métis Nation.
